Get Help NJ in Tough Economic Times



Please be aware the library will only be receiving the Federal Forms 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ. We will not be receiving the instructions for the forms or any state forms. This change was made by the IRS due to their budget cuts. We recieved notification that our 1040A and 1040EZ forms were shipped on January 27. We hope to recieve them shortly. Tax form information

Spanish Computer Basics
Spanish Speakers can join us on April 1 at 6 PM for a Computer Basics Class in Spanish. 

April Gallery Display/Reception
Hobokenite Alex Maucheno will display his creative and fun Alice in Wonderland inspired artwork in our gallery.  Join us on April 6 at 6:30 PM for an Art Reception.

Microsoft Word Basics
Join us on April 8 at 6 PM for a Microsoft Word Basics Class to learn how to use the word processing program. 

Web Design Class
On Saturday, April 11 at 3 PM, learn the basics of how a web page is made.  This class will cover an introduction to the basic components of a webpage and how they work together.  Each attendee will have the option to create their own basic webpage.

Writer’s Group
Our Writer’s Group will be meeting April 13 at 6 PM.  Come meet fellow writers and discuss your work.  Email to be added to the mailing list for the group. 

Tea Program
On April 15 at 6:30 PM, join the owners of Do You Tea?, a shop that specializes in hand-blended loose leaf teas, to learn about the different types and health benefits of drinking tea. Samples will be offered.

Open Computer & Technology Q&A
Whether it is a software or hardware question or to check out the library’s eReaders and tablets stop in for our Open Tech Time on April 15 at 6 PM.  Our bilingual tech expert can answer your questions in Spanish & English. 

Yoga Program
On Thursday, April 16 at 6 PM, join us for a special program about medical yoga, taught by Kelly Naughton.  Please wear comfortable clothes.

Come hear some great performances on April 18 at 2 PM.  Share your poetry, music, or spoken word.   The special musical guest for our April event is Mobile Steam Unit!

April’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Book: On Basilisk Station
On April 20 at 6 PM, as part of HPL's Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Discussion Group we will discuss On Basilisk Station by David Weber.  If you can’t make the meeting, but would like to stay informed about what books we are reading, email to to be added to our mailing list. 

3D Printing Workshop
Curious to learn how to do 3D printing?  On Saturday, April 25 at 2 PM, students will learn some basic 3D design with easy to use software.

To Kill A Mockingbird
Join us on  April 30 at 7:30 PM at the library.  We will be reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. 


Teen Programs (Grades 6 & up)

Sound Camp: Garage Band Basics

  • Collaborate with other teens to create a song using our recording studio. You don't have to be a musician or own an instrument to have fun in this program.
  • Tuesday, March 31st @ 3:30pm

Video Gaming

  • Every Friday @ 3:30pm, teens (grades 6-12) can play games on all the latest systems.

Creation Space -
Open Creation Space Time
Every Monday join us between 1PM and 7 PM for open maker space time. No appointment required! Those under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cooking Program

On Saturday, March 28 at 2 PM, come make some fun recipes.  Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please disclose any food allergies.
