Morning Art with Liz
Wednesdays October 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 10 AM, Liz Cohen leads drawing classes continuing the September series, and accommodates beginners and experienced artists.

The Fall Session of the Friends of the Hoboken Public Library's ESL Classes will run from Wednesday Oct. 4 through Wednesday Dec. 13 (no class on Nov.22).

Bollywood Dancing
Mondays October 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 6:30 PM, learn the art of story-telling through symbolic hand gestures, rhythmic movement, and expression. Ages 10 and up welcome.

Knitting 911
Stuck on a knitting project and need advice on Tuesdays October 17, 24, 31 and November 7 at 9:30 AM intermediate/advanced knitters can get help with knitting projects.

Hudson Shakespeare Company’s ‘Macbeth’
On Thursday October 26 at 6:30 PM, join us for a modern twist on Shakespeare's eerie tale about a brave Scottish general who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches.

Morning Art Classes
On Wednesdays November 1, 8, 15,  and 29 at 10 AM Art teacher, Liz Cohen Ndyoe will hold a new series of drawing classes focusing on portraiture.

Evening Crocheting with Lisa Barnes
In this 4-week beginner level crochet class Mondays October 30, November 6, 13, 20, you will learn to make fingerless mitts, a striped hat, and a zig-zag cowl! You will also learn crochet basics like how to hold a crochet hook and make a foundation! You must attend all four sessions if you want to complete your project.

No Bake Desserts
Get cooking on Saturday November 4 12–2 PM and learn to make holiday no bake treats for ages 8 to adult!

Then, Now, and Forever Workshop
On Tuesday November 7 at 6 PM, this workshop taught by an award-winning communications specialist is a crash course on how to easily outline your entire life story in 2 hours. Each attendee is given a workbook in which to document their life story.  First come first serve. 12 max.

Transgender  Awareness, Panel Discussion
On Thursday November 9 at 7 PM the library will host a transgender awareness  program.  The topics that will be covered are ways to be more welcoming and inclusive of Transgender People, the meaning of transgender and non-binary, how sexual orientation is different from gender identity, why trans equality is important, how to treat everyone with respect, and how to be an ally. The program will be moderated by Michael Billy, Executive Director of Hudson Pride Connection located in Jersey City.  Other Special Guests include: Seth Raniess, Ajani Walden, Christine Hamlett, Jules Weiss  and  Alexis Smith.  All are welcome.

WWI 100th Anniversary 
Saturday November 11 at 12 PM will be a movie screening in honor of WWI.

Mile Square City Readers Book Club
On Tuesday November 14 at 6:30 PM the Mile Square City Readers will discuss Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan.

Lady Memoir Book Club at Little City Books
On Wednesday November 15 at 7 PM  we will discuss Gabrielle Union's We're Going to Need More Wine.

Wednesday November 15 at 6 PM, learn the art of Zentangle which combines art and meditation to make beautiful images. Part of our Wellness Wednesday series with City of Hoboken. First come first serve.

New York Japanese CinFest
Thursday November 16 at 6:30 PM join us for the screening of The Shining Star of Losers Everywhere.

Drag Queen Story Hour
Join us for a special family story time for ages 3-8 with Harmonica Sunbeam Saturday November 18 at 10:30 AM.

Writer’s Group
Join the Hoboken Public Libraries new writers group on Monday November 20 at 6:30 PM and discuss your work in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. All types of creative writing are welcome. Please submit any pieces for consideration at the next weeks meeting by noon on Friday November 10 to

Climate Mobilization                      
Tuesday November 21 at 6 PM, come find creative solutions for what you can do to care for the environment.

King Arthur Extravaganza
Monday November 27 at 2 PM we will screen an animated film, and children can decorate their own bejeweled crowns. At 3:30 PM watch an adult dramatization. Discuss The Once and Future King by T.H. White at 6 PM.

Workplace Advocacy: Standing Up For Yourself
On Tuesday November 28 at 6 PM, learn to communicate effectively and persuasively and stand up for yourself at your workplace.  This event is led by Diane Rubino, who teaches communications at NYU and Columbia University.

Creatures Of The Night
On Thursday November 30 at 6 PM explore the creepy, crawly animals of the night with Tenafly Nature Center's Animal Ambassadors of the dark! Adults and families with children 4+ can come to  explore nocturnal creatures and their habits.
