Computer and Job Classes

Computer Classes are usually held in the third floor activity or media rooms. They are taught on the lap tops that are part of our mobile classroom. Space is limited so please call 201-420-2347or stop by the reference desk to reserve a spot.

Open Tech Time
On Mondays between 1 PM and 3 PM as part of our Makerspace we will have Open Tech Time. Bring your technology or computer question and check out the library's ereaders and tablets
!

Intro to Excel
On Tuesday January 16 at 6 PM, please join us for an Introduction to Excel class taught by Stevens student  Benjamin Traskunov. Excel is part of Microsoft Office and is a computer software program that is used for storing, organizing, and manipulating data. This is a beginner class. Bring your own laptop or use one of ours.  

Excel Pivot Table Class
On Tuesday January 30 at 6:30 PM, join us for an Excel class on Pivot Tables taught by Traskunov. A pivot table is a program tool that allows you to reorganize and summarize selected columns and rows of data in a spreadsheet or database table to obtain a desired report. The Pivot Table is an intermediate class and not designed for beginners of Excel. Bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Career Workshops

Our career workshops are taught typically by librarians and feature a presentation on the topic given for each class. Students will have access to a laptop during most classes that they can use to work on their own materials or browse resources presented in the classes. Each class will also feature handouts and references to many different and useful materials to aid in your job search and career path.

JobNow: Online Job Assistance
JobNow provides online resources for job seekers, including access to trained career experts who provide live, one-to-one interview coaching and resume assistance from 2 PM-11 PM. Patrons also enjoy 24/7 access to a carefully-selected library of job resources. eParachute helps recent high school and college graduates and job-seekers identify their ideal job opportunities.
