Book Discussion
October is national reading group month. It is the perfect time to join us for a book discussion at the Library! On October 21st, join us in our discussion of Stephenie Meyer's first adult novel The Host. If your a fan of Twilight this is a must read. The Host is a thought provoking tale of what it means to be human. We are having two different times for discussions one at 2:00 PM and one at 6:30 PM for your convenience. In November we will be featuring Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout and in December will be Best Friends Forever by Jennifer Weiner. Join us for an afternoon or evening of good books and great discussion!
Introduction to Dance
On October 22nd from 6:00-7:30 PM, local dance instructor and Broadway Veteran Tracy Everitt will provide an introductory swing and fox trot dance class. Space is limited. Contact us at 201-420-2347.
Cheese Basics
On November 5th at 5:00pm, the Library presents An Introduction to Cheese. Taste 5 different cheeses! Participants will get an in depth introduction to the world of cheese from Chung Park of The Cheese Store in Hoboken. Registration is limited. Register at 201-420-2347.
Artistic Collage Holiday Card
On November 10th at 2:00pm, the library welcomes back artist and educator Jamie Ross for another art workshop for adults. Participants will create Holiday Cards using materials such as rice paper and dried flowers. Please call 201-420-2347 to register.
Book Discussion
This month our book discussion will focus on Pulitzer Prize winning, Olive Kitteridge, by Elizabeth Stout. The book discussion will take place on November 19th. There will be two discussion sessions: 2:00pm and 6:30pm.
The King of Kong
On Tuesday, November 24th at 2:00pm on the 3rd floor there will be a viewing of The King of Kong, a documentary chronicling a rivalry between two old school arcade masters. Light refreshments will be served.
